“Let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 NRSVUE

For me August often feels like a bridge — summer’s warmth is still with us, yet the fi rst hints of autumn quietly arriving in the cool of the morning and the earlier setting of the sun. It’s a reminder that God’s creation is always in motion, and so are we in our walk with Him.

In this in-between time, we are invited to refl ect on the blessings of the past months and prepare our hearts for the season ahead. Just as farmers watch their fi elds ripen for harvest, we too are called to be attentive to the spiritual harvest God is growing in our lives and in our church.

The Apostle Paul encourages us in Galatians 6:9, that this is a season to keep sowing seeds of kindness, faith, and service — even when the results are not immediately visible.

As we move toward the busier rhythms of fall, may we carry with us the warmth of summer’s blessings and the anticipation of God’s continued work among us. Let’s step into this next chapter with gratitude, faith, and a readiness to serve.
