“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

1 Peter 1:3

A new birth to a living hope! Those words bring me a spring of internal joy, flowing up, giving me goosebumps. Words can not describe the feeling because it is one of which, the Holy Spirit inspires and moves me.

A living hope - is Jesus Christ!

Some see the living hope in a rainbow, the northern lights or looking at your checkbook to see all things balance and life is good. Others see another gloomy day, as we struggle to make it through; yet, when we call out his name, into the gloom, we feel the shadows of our souls being shattered by his love, mercy and grace. Jesus Christ has set us free. Broken the chains of depression and gloom and lifts us to the light. The light that expresses the promise of our Lord. Phil Wickman explains it best, in one verses in his song “A Living Hope”

“Then came the morning that sealed the promise. Your buried body began to breathe. Out of the silence, the roaring lion, declared the grave, has no claim on me. Jesus, yours is the victory, Whoa!”

Now, that is a Glorious Easter to remember and celebrate!!
